An interpretation of Jim Newberry's gorgeous photograph from his "Secret Life of Plants" series, this composition reminds me of a natural Alexander Calder mobile, beautifully balanced as it moves in the wind. Selective varnishing of some areas of the plant for a mixed-sheen finish. Signed on back and side. Virtual room in second image has a 10' wall height. Many thanks to Jim for letting me paint this photograph -- please view more of his fantastic, wide-ranging work at jimnewberry.com.
